πŸ•΅οΈTroubleshooting

Betting with Bookiebot is quick and easy. However, if you have any trouble, below you can find the solutions for common issues you may encounter.

Why did my bet fail?

The first thing to do is double check your balance, Pending Bets, and/or a block explorer. Although it is rare, you may occasionally receive a 'Failed' message despite your bet being successfully placed. This is more likely to occur during times of elevated activity on the blockchain network.

If you have confirmed that your bet did Fail and was not successfully placed, there are a few likely causes:

  • Do you have a sufficient balance of MATIC (if you are betting on Polygon/Azuro) or ETH (if you are betting on Optimism/Overtime)?

    • Since all betting occurs on-chain, a gas fee is required to place bets

    • If you do not have enough MATIC/ETH, your bet will fail

    • A balance of 1 MATIC or 0.02 ETH is typically sufficient, but this can vary depending on prevailing gas prices and network activity

  • Has the game already started?

    • Games are removed from the bot once they have started, but if you are trying to copy a bet, or you start trying to place a bet moments before game time, the game may have already started, in which case the bet is no longer available and will fail

  • Is the specific outcome you are attempting to bet on still available?

    • The markets and outcomes available to bet on can change as the game gets closer. Markets/outcomes are removed or updated in the bot when they change, but if you are trying to copy a bet, or you start trying to place a bet moments before the chosen market/outcome changes, the bet will fail

  • Are you exceeding the maximum bet size for the chosen market?

  • Are you attempting to place a parlay bet?

    • If you are on Optimism/Overtime, please note that there is a $5 minimum for parlay bets

Where is my crypto? I don't see the crypto I deposited to my bot wallet

If you sent your crypto to the right address, but still don't see it in your bot's balance:

  • Check a block explorer to see if you transaction is still pending, in which case your crypto will be available once the transaction is confirmed

  • Have you recently initiated a Bridge transaction?

    • Bridging can take up to 20 minutes. The crypto will be available in your balance once the bridging has been completed

  • Did you transfer an unsupported token, a token on an unsupported blockchain, or a token not supported on a particular blockchain?

    • The Bookiebot wallet is self-custodial; Bookiebot has no access to your funds, and thus cannot recover unsupported tokens for you

    • However, you can import you private key or mnemonic phrase into a wallet that supports the token and network in question, in order to access the missent funds

Why don't I have any claimable revenue share?
  • Did you connect the correct wallet?

    • Most BB token holders hold their tokens on a different address than their betting bot wallet

    • To claim your holders rev share, you must connect to the claim page with the wallet in which you are holding your BB tokens

    • To claim your Referral rev share and Rakeback rev share you must connect to the claim page with your betting bot wallet. To do so, you can import your private key or mnemoic phrase into a wallet like MetaMask or Rabby

  • Are you holding at least 500 $BB tokens?

    • A minimum of 500 $BB tokens is required for holders rev share. If you hold less than 500 tokens, you will not qualify for holders revenue sharing

  • Did your referrals generate at least $100 of betting volume?

    • In order to earn revenue share from a referral, your referral must do a minimum of $100 in betting volume in the month

How do I claim my rev share if I have less ETH than the estimated gas cost?

MetaMask significantly overestimates the gas limit needed for claiming, and as a result it shows a much higher total gas cost for claiming than the actual gas cost. Significantly less gas will be spent from your wallet than estimated. Typically the actual cost is approximately $1-$2, though this will vary depending on prevailing gas rates at the time. If your wallet holds less ETH than the overestimated gas cost, MetaMask will not allow you to proceed with the transaction, even if you have sufficient ETH for the actual gas cost. In such cases, you can:

  • Lower the gas limit in MetaMask's advanced settings

  • Import your private key to another wallet. Rabby wallet is known to correctly estimate the gas for claiming, but please note that Bookiebot does not recommend, suggest, nor endorse any specific wallet.

  • Claim via the contract directly on etherscan. To do so:
