The outcomes you can bet on and what they mean

There are usually many more options to bet on for a game than just who will be the winner. In this section we will explore various types of bets and what they mean, so that newcomers and veterans alike can enjoy all of the variety and flexibility offered by Bookiebot.

Full Time Result

Betting on Full Time Result is betting on the outcome of the game excluding overtime. The numbers 1 and 2 correspond to the teams in the order they are listed at the top of betting screen. In the above image, Tottenham is (1) and Chelsea is (2)

  • (1) is a bet on the first team listed to win (Tottenham in the above image)

  • (2) is a bet on the second team listed to win (Chelsea in the above image

  • (X) is a bet on the game ending in a Draw/Tie

When betting on Full Time Result, remember that it does not include overtime, shootouts, penalty shots, etc. If, for instance, Full Time ends in a draw and team (1) wins the game in overtime, a bet on Full Time Result (1) would not win. A bet of Full Time Result (X) would win, since Full Time ended in a draw

Double Chance

Double chance is a way to bet on two different outcomes with one bet. If the game results in either of the outcomes, the bet wins. Just like Full Time Result bets, (1) and (2) refer to the first and second teams in the order listed at the top, and (X) refers to a Draw. However, with Double Chance bets, two outcomes are paired in one bet.

  • (1X) wins if team 1 wins or draws

  • (2X) wins if team 2 wins or draws

  • (12) wins if team 1 wins or team 2 wins

Handicap

A Handicap is essentially like a specific number of points or goals added to or deducted from a team's score. Favorites will typically have a negative (-) handicap, while underdogs will have a positive (+) handicap. Positive handicaps will often be displayed without a (+), as is the case with Bookiebot. H1 is a bet on the handicap for team 1, and H2 is a bet on the handicap for team 2.

  • For a bet on a negative (-) handicap to win, the team must win by more than that number of points/goals

    • A bet on (H1 -1.5) means that team 1 has to win by more than 1.5 goals in order to win the bet. It is as if the team started the game with -1.5 goals; in order to win, they would have to score 2 more goals than their opponent

  • For a bet on a positive (+) handicap to win, the team must not lose by more than that number of points/goals

    • A bet on (H2 1.5) means that team 2 cannot lose by more than 1.5 goals in order to win the bet. It is as if the team started the game with 1.5 goals; in order to win, they would need to score more goals, the same number of goals, or one goal less than their opponent

Total Goals

A bet on Total Goals is simply a bet whether to total number of goals from both teams will be over or under the given number. It does not matter if only one team scores or both teams score; only to total number of goals in the game matters.

  • Over 2.5 would win if 3 or more goals are scored between the two teams

    • This bet would win whether the final score is 3-0, 2-1, 1-2, 2-2, or any other combination totaling 3 or more

    • This bet would lose with any final score totaling less than 3

  • Under 2.5 would win if 2 goals or less are scored between the two teams

    • This bet would win whether the final score is 2-0, 1-1, 1-0, 0-0, or any other combination totaling 2 or less

    • This bet would lose with any final score totaling greater than 2

Both Teams To Score

If both teams score at least one goal in the game, a bet on (Yes) wins. If only one team scores, or neither team scores, a bet on (No) wins.

Handicap Corners

Handicap Corners is essentially a bet on the number of Corner Kicks in the game by one team vs the number of Corner Kicks in the game by the other team. Handicaps work the same way here as they do when betting handicaps on a games final score, except in the context of the number of corner kicks instead of the number of goals.

  • (H1 -0.5) wins if team 1 at least one more corner kicks in the game than team 2 has

  • (H1 -1.5) wins if team 1 has has at least two more corner kicks in the game than team 2 has

  • (H2 0.5) wins if team two has the same number of corner kicks as team one or more corner kicks than team one

  • (H2 1.5) wins if team two has two or fewer corner kicks less than team one

Team Total Goals

'Team 1 - Total Goals' and 'Team 2 - Total Goals' are simply bets on whether the specific team will score over or under the given number of goals

  • Team 1 - Total Goals (Over 1.5) wins if Team 1 scores two or more goals, regardless of how many goals Team 2 scores

  • Team 1 - Total Goals (Under 1.5) wins if Team 1 scores one goal or no goals, regardless of how many goals Team 2 scores

Team 2 - Total Goals is the same, except it is betting on Team 2's number of goals, regardless of how many goals Team 1 scores

1st Half Bets

1st Half - Winner, 1st Half - Double Chance, 1st Half - Totoal Corners, 1st Half - Team - Total Goals, and 1st Half - Both Teams to Score are all the same as the equivalent full game bets, except they are bets on that outcome at the end of the first half of the game. 1st Half - Either Team To Score is simply a bet on whether or not either team will score in the first half.
